王菲離婚後，有一說她打算重出江湖再戰樂壇，也傳聞她將出家遠離俗世，信奉密宗多年的她，誠心程度比好友劉嘉玲有過之無不及，她曾造訪密宗聖地雲南大理，對雲南的密宗趨之若鶩，之前更花數百萬台幣在雲南郊區買一棟別墅，有意在雲南潛心修佛，知情人士說，王菲在修佛期間找到自己存在價值，只不過她還放不下兩個女兒才沒出家。
